Ingenium2010 – a design contest for engineering colleges in India has been launched by QuEST. Ingenium 2010 is a platform where the Engineering students from colleges across India can showcase their work and compete against other outstanding engineering projects at the national level.

The competition is an event for the final year B.E./B.Tech engineers. The contest is based on the final year engineering project work in Aerospace, Industrial, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Power Generation & Production Engineering – and has a grand prize of Rs. 1 Lakh !

Deadlines for Registration and Submission of Abstracts

Online registration of teams : February 28, 2011

Submission of Abstracts : March 15, 2011

Deliverables:

Deliverables for the competition will be sought in three stages:

a. Abstract

A 200 word abstract of the project to be submitted at the time of entry.

This must contain :
•             Description of the problem
•             Description of the design process
•             Description of the proposed solution
•             Potential benefits of the solution

b. Interim Reports

Interim Reports of the progress of the project must be submitted. Dates for submission will be informed to the participants later. These reports should contain :
•             Progress made in the preceding period (give technical details accomplished by illustrations, drawings etc)
•             Summary of achievements/issues
•             Plans for the next period

c. Final Reports

The final reports should be submitted to QuEST Global at the time of finalization of the thesis. These reports should be an extract of the thesis and cover the following:
•             Summary of the project
•             Achievements against objectives that were set out
•             Technical details covering the project
•             Issues/challenges faced
